OrganizationChinese American Association of Central Illinois (CAACI) is a not-for-profit organization established and registered in 2000. Our primary purposes are to promote and foster the appreciation of Chinese culture, promote fellowship among Chinese-Americans in the community and beyond, outreach to other community organizations, and provide forums for discussion on issues of common interest. We welcome both members and non-members to all our events and to join us in celebrating Chinese heritage. Some of the benefits in being a CAACI member:
- A free copy of the Annual Champaign Congkan magazine;
- Discounts to participate in the many tours;
- Moon Festival Party, and The Chinese New Year Party;
- Attend lectures given by well known Chinese-American researchers, doctors, scholars and writers;
- Free admission to the Picnics and Annual Year End Celebration party.
Mission StatementCAACI is a non-partisan organization for Chinese Americans and their friends in Central Illinois. Its goal is to engage in cultural, educational, and social activities, to help members play a more active role in the community and to promote the well being of Chinese and Chinese Americans of the area.
